It's easy to picture the Czarist court intriguing under this exotic crystal chandelier. Stylistic influences are apparent from Byzantium, St. Petersburg, ancient Egypt and early Rome. Romanoff is unabashedly opulent, with mouth-blown handcut crystal column elements and a variety of dramatic crystal shapes. A two-tone finish emphasizes the richly patterned gallery. Romanoff was among the Schonbek crystal chandeliers chosen to light a prestigious 2005 exhibit at The Newark Museum, "At Home with the Last Tsar and His Family."
