Frame-in kit is intended to be used in New-Construction applications with exposed ceiling rafters.
Pop-in Model # R4DRDN includes a new construction frame-in kit for installation in a new construction application.
R4DRDR excludes the frame-in kit, and is for intended to be installed in remodel applications.
Use the R4DRDN Frame-in kit with R4DRDR or R4DSDR to convert from remodel to new-construction.
