Framburg Lighting, established in Chicago, Illinois, by
Henry Alfred Framburg has a rich history which includes producing fixtures for
some of the finest institutions and residences in the world. During World War I and II, most of Framburg’s
production was dedicated to military contracts. Since the company’s inception
1905, each piece of Framburg Lighting has been designed and handcrafted in the
United States.
Some of the Framburg designs are exact reproductions of
period lighting. Fixtures ranging from
formal to casual, from gothic to contemporary, and from rustic to refined are
offered in one of the industry’s broadest product lines. Exterior lights, vanity lighting and pendants
are offered as well as chandeliers and ceiling lighting.
While using state of the art technology designing fixtures,
much of the metal-working is done by hand.
Metals are bent by hand and finishes are hand-rubbed or hand-polished, producing
a product of enduring quality. Currently
located in Bellwood, Illinois, Framburg
produces fixtures of superior quality and design integrity.
